The Director, NERIST hereby invites applications from the citizens of India and from such other persons declared eligible by MHA, Govt. of India, for the posts of Professor, Assistant Professor and Lecturer in the discipline(s):

Civil Engg./Computer Sc. & Engg./ Electrical Engg./Electronics & Commn. Engg./ Mechanical Engg. and

Professor and Assistant Professor in Agricultural Engineering and

Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Physics and Lecturer in Chemistry.

Pay scales - 1) Professor – Rs.16,400-450-20,900-500-22,400/- 2) Assistant Professor - Rs.12,000-420-18,300/- and 3) Lecturer- Rs. 8,000-275-13,500/- and other benefits as applicable to NERIST employees.

How to Apply
The completed applications together with a Demand Draft of Rs. 25/- for SC/ST and Rs. 100/- for other candidates drawn in favour of Director, NERIST and payable at SBI Nirjuli (Code No.9535) Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh should reach the Registrar, NERIST, Nirjuli, Itanagar–791109, Arunachal Pradesh.

General Conditions/Instructions for Appointment by Selection of faculty:

1. All persons who have applied earlier in response to our Advertisement No. 3/2007, need not apply again.
2. Incomplete applications and/or applications received late shall summarily be rejected and no further correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
3. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised.
4. Mere fulfilment of qualifications and experience requirement laid down does not
entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
5. Candidate possessing higher qualification & experience will be considered for additional increments as per rules.
6. Candidates not found appropriate for the post applied, he/she may be offered lower post, if selection committee finds him/her suitable for the lower post.
7. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview.
8. Persons employed in Govt./Semi-Govt./PSUs/ Autonomous Institutions should submit their applications through proper channel.
9. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
10. Any change of address should be communicated at once to the Registrar, NERIST.
11. Outstation candidates called for interview will be provided simple sleeper class train fare/bus fare for to and fro journey as per rules on attending interview.
12. Candidate may be considered in absentia if they are not in India on the date of the Selection Committee meeting for the department concerned on the discretion of the Selection Committee.
