Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is a dedicated centre of excellence in the field of Hepatobiliary Sciences. The institute invites applications in prescribed format, from eligible candidates, to fill up the following posts for Physical Handicapped persons and for regular jobs :

Instructions for persons with disabilities
1. The candidates with the disabilities as mentioned against each post can apply for the posts as per the definition given in the Persons with Disabilities (equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation) Act, 1995

2. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation on production of valid disability certificate issued by a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or a State Government.

3. No application fee is payable for applicant on submission of attested copy of a valid disability certificate as mentioned above.

4. In respect of persons with disabilities upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years (10 years for SC/ST and 8 years OBC) in respect of Group ‘A’ & ‘B’ posts mentioned at Sr. No 1 to 15 & 19, by 10 years (15 year SC/ST and 13 year for OBC) in respect of Group ‘C’ posts mentioned at Sr. Nos 16 to 18 & 20 subject to the condition that no age relaxation can be beyond attaining the age of 60 years under all circumstances.

General Instructions
Reservation for persons with disabilities/Ex-servicemen/Disabled Ex-servicemen available as per Govt. Guidelines.
In addition to above pay package Transport Allowance & Children Education Allowance as per rules and other additional allowances as per policy of the Institute are admissible. The above pay packages are based on Pay Band I- IV.

1. All appointments shall be on "contract basis" and will be initially for a period of 'four years' including a probation period of one year. The contractual appointment may be extended for a further period of 'four years' based on performance of the candidate during the initial period of four years.

2. All the post(s) are on 'consolidated package basis. The incumbents will be eligible for an annual increment @ 7.5% of Pay Band & Grade Pay. The remuneration packages are based on Pay Band & Grade Pay as per revised pay rules 2008 and HR policy of ILBS.

3. The above vacancies are subject to change at any given point of time and the Institute reserves the right whether or not to fill up any post. No appeal will be entertained or accepted. It is not Obligatory on the part of the Institute to call for Interview every candidate who possesses the essential qualification and no representation in this regard will be entertained from any candidate.

4. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 year for SC/ST candidates and by 3 years for OBC candidates. In respect of persons with disabilities upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years (10 years for SC/ST and 8 years OBC)) with regards to posts mentioned at Sr. No 1 to 16 & 20 By 10 years (15 years SC/ST and 13 year for OBC) in respect of posts mentioned at Sr. No 17 to 19 & 21 subject to the condition that no age relaxation can be allowed beyond the age of 60 years under normal circumstances.

5. The candidates with the disabilities as mentioned against each post can apply for the post as per the definition given in the Persons with Disabilities (equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation) Act, 1995.

6. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation as PH.

7. The effective date for reckoning the requisite qualification and experience and the upper age limit will be 25th Jul, 09. Those who do not have the requisite qualification, experience & Age as on 25th July 2009 will not be considered. 8. The candidate must furnish Bank draft of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 100/- in case of SC/ST & Ex-SM candidates) (Non refundable) payable in favour of “ INSTITUTE OF LIVER & BILIARY SCIENCES” PAYBLE AT NEW DELHI AS APPLICATION FEE on account of application process fee. No application process fee is chargeable from Physically Handicapped persons.

9. Applicants working in Central Government /State Government /AB/PSU etc. to apply through proper channel for Direct Recruitment on contract basis.

10. Working knowledge of computer is essential for all the posts.

11. The candidates appearing for the Interview should bear the cost of traveling and stay under their own arrangement and no refunds will be allowed under any circumstances. The candidates must check their eligibility both in terms of age and experience from the Recruitment Rules.

12. Application and Demand Draft should clearly indicate in BOLD LETTERS, the name of the candidate and post applied for, on top of the envelope and back side of the DD’s respectively.
