NIPER-Ahmedabad is looking for faculty of high caliber and motivation to face the challenge of building the institute into a centre of excellence. The overall focus is on building strong master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral programmes. However, current focus is on M.S.(Pharm.) programme.
Applications are invited for Professors, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Lecturers and Laboratory Assistants in Pharmaceutics and Assistant Librarian
Essential qualification and experience
Lecturer: Master’s degree in pharmacy/ science with experience, or Ph.D. in relevant area.
Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 5 years teaching/ research / industrial experience with published work of high quality.
Associate Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 8 years experience out of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor.
Laboratory Assistants: Masters in Biological sciences with relevant experience in industry or academics.
Assistant Librarians: B.Lib/M.Lib or Diploma with 2-3 years experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in post-graduate science/pharmacy colleges.
For faculty positions, experience in respective fields as below will be preferred.
Pharmaceutics: Strong base in the development of new dosage forms. Design and execution of pre-formulation and formulations using newer concepts. Background in new drug delivery systems is desirable. Awareness in IPR and experience in evaluation of newer formulations will be added advantage.
The pay structure will be comparable to that applicable to faculty in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
All appointments are contractual in nature, which can be renewed every year depending upon performance and mutual consent.
